Functional Movement

What to expect

Our functional movement classes bring together progressive exercise, yoga and natural movement to build strength, improve posture and support everyday fitness. 

  • Classes run like workshops and explore variations of rolling, walking, crawling, squatting, jumping and  balancing

  • Progressive exercises are also offered to safely strengthen muscles, joints, and connective tissues while heightening body awareness

  • No experience is necessaryThe instructors will always provide options for those just getting started

  • Weather dependent, classes may sometimes be outdoors 

Why is it good for me

  • Build strength, mobility, agility of the whole body and individual parts

  • Correct movement patterns 

  • Develops body skills and confidence

Who is it for

  • Classes are open to everyone regardless of prior training, age, gender or physical fitness

What to bring

  • We provide yoga mats, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer

  • We provide some blocks and bolsters. You are welcome to bring any additional equipment you would like to use during class

  • If possible wear comfortable workout clothes and perhaps bring something warm to wear during rest. Change rooms are available
